We chose the red airplane sticker as we have members scattered all over the world.

Hey Adventurers! We asked daily player Sharon Sinclair about her Adventure Club ‘Captain Shorty’s Club’ to get the scoop on how to run a successful Club. 🛩️ Here are her secrets to success, and discover even more tips and insight about Adventure Clubs in our ‘Pearl’s Peril Adventure Club Finder’ Group!

Where did you get the inspiration for your Adventure Club name?
My Hubby Michael, also a club member gave me the nick-name “Shorty” when we first met because he loved Old American Western Cowboy Movies and always wanted a side-kick named “Shorty” and I was a Captain in the USA army recently home in New Orleans, Louisiana from being stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germany. So the nick-name “Captain Shorty” was a natural. It seemed like a good name to use for the club.

What is the Badge you chose to represent your club in game?
The Red Airplane because we have members scattered all over the world.

How did your club get started?
Some members were with us in another club and left it for various reasons to form our own club. We were all wanting a club with a more positive atmosphere and a more family-like feel where we all care about each other and share our lives as well as our love of the game. Communication and sharing is a large part of our club and very important in maintaining a happy club… we even have a group chat in Facebook Messenger.

How many members do you have and where is everyone from?
13 current members from quite a few corners of the planet! from USA we have members from Paducah, Kentucky. Chino, West Covina and Pomona, California. Harrison and Chattanooga, Tennessee. Claremore, Oklahoma. We have members from Brasschaat, Belgium. Other members from Richmond, and Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada and Bursa, Turkey.

Do you play daily or are you more relaxed?
We play daily and most of us play multiple times per day.

What’s the best AC reward you have won?
We love all the rewards, but my all-time favorite was the “Drive-In Theatre” which we were crushed we did not win because we were in transition making the new club and just did not have enough members or time left to win it. I would swear that my sweetheart, Michael, hid his tears over that one… he totally loved it! We hope it will come up again!

Any advice for other Adventure Clubs?
Absolutely… if you are forming your own club or just revamping a current one… First decide the kind of club you want and do not be afraid to go for it. Keep a positive attitude and always promote a team effort. Don’t be afraid to take your time building your club with positive like-minded people… You will have a happier club. Use Facebook Messenger to chat with potential new members before adding them. Above all have fun, enjoy the game, and take care of your club members… each one is precious and valuable to your club no matter how they play or how many points they earn!
