June’s Journey Orchid Architects Design Competition
Let your creativity run wild while you design a building that will inspire the landscape of Orchid Island.
HOW TO ENTER

Then, create a Pinterest mood board that will serve as an inspiration to our artists as they design one of Orchid Island’s upcoming buildings. Next, share your mood board with the Facebook Event ‘Orchid Architects Design Competition’ hosted by June’s Journey.
Your mood board should include:
1. What type of building you want to see (ex: concert hall)
2. Photos of buildings that look similar to what you have in mind (ex: photo of Carnegie Hall in the 1920s)
3. Photos or illustrations of details that fit into your vision and fit into the 1920s era of June’s Journey (ex: building textures and art deco patterns)
Our Artists will adapt the mood board to fit into the design style of Orchid Island and ensure the building will fit the era of the game. Your mood board will be used to drive their design decisions as they craft a new building to be permanently offered.
Be sure to name your Pinterest board with the type of building you want to see added to Orchid Island. The Pinterest board should be populated with references that you find online or have collected personally.
Submit your Pinterest boards to our Facebook event located here: woo.ga/OrchidArchitectsEvent. The contest will close on November 23, 2018, 12:00 CET.
HOW TO CREATE A PINTEREST MOOD BOARD:

Everything starts with a mood board. When artists are designing a new building, the mood board is the solid foundation of a building and that is what we will need for our artists to start drawing!
We will need to know:
- What type of building you would like to design
- The shape of the building
- Elements like windows, doors, gates and all you can think of.
Head to www.pinterest.com; you will need to be logged into Pinterest to create a board. Once you are logged into Pinterest, create a Board by clicking on the + sign.
Then give your board the name of the building you would like to design and click Create. I am going to design a Concert Hall!
WHERE TO FIND IMAGES:
A simple way to create a mood board is to look for inspiration around you or on the internet. If you are inspired by buildings in your surroundings, maybe a little door of that small house around the corner?
Also, you can find interesting images on the internet and pin them from a website to your Pinterest board. Check out Pinterest for more details on how to use their handy ‘Save’ button to make it very easy.
HOW TO SHARE YOUR PINTEREST BOARD WITH US

From your Pinterest board page:
- Click the Share icon as shown in the screenshot below.
- Select Facebook
- From the Facebook pop-up, select Share to an Event and search for the Orchid Architects Design Competition
- Click Post to Facebook.

The end result should compass an entire building. We hope that the details can come together to convey what you envision as well as inspire our artists!
Terms & Conditions
- The promoter is: Wooga GmbH whose registered office is at Saarbruücker Str. 38, 10405 Berlin.
2. The competition is open to players worldwide.
3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

6. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
7. Closing date for entry will be November 23, 2018 12:00 CET. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
9. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:
Players will create Pinterest mood boards that will serve as an inspiration to our Artists to create one of Orchid Island’s upcoming buildings.
The Pinterest board will be named with the type of building suggested. The Pinterest board will be populated with reference images that will be inspiration to Artists to create one of Orchid Island buildings. The type of building and images must be fitting the style of the era in which the game takes place: Art Nouveau / Art Deco.
Players will submit their Pinterest boards to our Facebook event located here: woo.ga/OrchidArchitectsEvent. The boards will be submitted to the event between November 10, 2018 00:00 CET and November 28, 2018 00:00 CET. Only entries published in the event within this time frame will be considered when selecting the winners.
The winning mood board will be considered as an inspiration for Artists to draw one of the upcoming buildings of Orchid Island. The final result, as much Artists will try to reflect the art direction of the Player, could differ as Artists will adapt the building to fit the era of the game as well as the style of the game.
The building could take months to be completed. Other buildings could be released in between. An announcement, as well as progression, will be shown on our Social Media channels.
Given the upgradable nature of buildings, artists will select which level most fits the new building being created and elaborate on the original Player’s suggestion to create other levels.
10. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
11. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
12. The prize is as follows: the chance to make an impact on one of the upcoming building designs in the game.
13. Finalists will be chosen by the June’s Journey Artists team. The winning entry will be selected by the June’s Journey community.
14. The winner will be notified by DM on Facebook within 14 days of the closing date. Winner should check their Facebook message requests coming from the Facebook account Dario Wooga. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
17. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
18. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by German law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Germany.
19. The winner agrees to the use of their name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current EU data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
21. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
22. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Pinterest. You are providing your information to Wooga GmbH and not to any other party. Wooga’s decision as to those able to take part and selection of winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.
