The events consisted of a brownbag talk by Bobby Chiu, co-founder of Schoolism and character artist behind blockbusters such as “Alice in Wonderland” by Tim Burton, as well as “Schoolism LIVE”, a series of workshops conducted by veteran artists from Schoolism’s teacher line-up. In his brownbag, Bobby talk about his life story, chasing the dream of art, staying positive, and never giving up.

The workshop happened on Saturday and Sunday, focusing on story telling and character designing in animation with the lectures given by animated movie industry veterans Kris Pearn, from Sony Animations (Open Season, Cloudy With A Chance of Meatball), and Daniel Arriaga **(Toy Story 3, Up, etc.), and **Louis Gonzales (Monster Inc., The Incredibles, Finding Nemo) from Pixar Animations. The brownbag and workshops garnered a lot of attention and enthusiasm from Wooga internally as well as the artist community in Berlin, with over 100 attendees filling up the Wooga Auditorium and sitting through three intense 4-hour sessions, and some participants reportedly getting emotional afterwards, crying while thanking Bobby.
